• Consequences for breaking our code of conduct are limited to content removal and potential account suspension or termination
• We reserve the right to determine whether we will continue providing our services to individuals who violate our guidelines

Our goal is not to police thought or expression, but to maintain a community where people feel comfortable sharing their lives.

Sunslider is founded on the following key principles:

• Inclusivity: We welcome people from all backgrounds and perspectives (with the exception of Nazis, due to their rejection of this very principle)
• Safety: We prioritize the wellbeing of our users and work to prevent harm
• Control: We believe users should have effective tools to shape their own experience on the app
• Privacy: We respect your data and give you choices about who sees your content

3. Content That Isn't Allowed on Sunslider

Hate Speech and Harassment

• Content that attacks, threatens, or incites violence against people based on protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability)
• Bullying or targeted harassment of individuals
• Malicious use of racial, sexual, or other discriminatory slurs

Adult Content and Nudity

• Pornographic content or sexually explicit material
• Gratuitous or excessive nudity
• Sexual solicitation or services

We operate on an equality-based nudity principle: content that would be acceptable from one gender (such as a photo including a bare torso) is equally acceptable from all genders.

Violence and Criminal Activity

• Graphic violence without clear public interest value
• Content that glorifies self-harm or suicide
• Content promoting or facilitating criminal activities
• Credible threats of violence or harm to others

Public Interest Exception: Content showing violence may be permitted when it serves an important public purpose, such as:

• Documenting human rights abuses or war crimes
• Legitimate news reporting of significant events
• Educational content about historical events
• Raising awareness about social issues like domestic violence

In these cases, we recommend providing appropriate context for the content.

Misinformation and Fraud

• Content deliberately designed to deceive or mislead
• Fraudulent schemes, scams, or deceptive practices
• Content that impersonates other individuals or organizations with intent to deceive

AI-Generated Deepfakes and Synthetic Media

• AI-generated content that falsely depicts real people saying or doing things they did not say or do, when created with deceptive intent
• Synthetic media that could reasonably mislead users about important matters of public concern
• Content that uses AI to create non-consensual intimate imagery of any person

Educational or clearly labeled parody/satire uses of synthetic media may be permitted when they do not pose a risk of material harm.

Election Integrity

• False or misleading information about voting procedures, dates, locations, or eligibility
• Content that misrepresents the electoral process or election outcomes with the intent to suppress voting or undermine public confidence
• False claims of candidate endorsements or premature declarations of victory

While we respect diverse political viewpoints, deliberate attempts to spread misinformation that could interfere with democratic processes are not permitted.

Intellectual Property

• Content that violates others' intellectual property rights
• Unauthorized use of copyrighted materials, trademarks, or private content

Spam and Manipulation

• Artificial engagement (buying likes, followers, etc.)
• Excessive commercial solicitation
• Repetitive, unwanted messaging
• Attempts to manipulate platform features or algorithms

• The ability to delete comments on your own content without waiting for moderation

5. Freedom of Expression and Content Moderation

We welcome diverse social, political, and economic viewpoints. Users will not face sanctions for expressing political opinions or sharing content from political events, including those that may be controversial. Our goal is not to police political discourse but to prevent harmful content that creates an unsafe, unwelcoming space for our users.

As an EU-based social network, we comply with legal standards established in the EU, including laws regarding illegal content. If an EU country establishes laws that go against the historical democratic consensus of the European Union, we may choose to remove our services from that jurisdiction to avoid being forced to provide user data and information to authoritarian regimes.
